The Manchester police have taken a man into custody, following the murder of a businessman in the parish; the incident occurred at the victim’s establishment at about 6:30 on Thursday* morning.
According to reports from the Manchester police, the Prominent 40-year-old businessman of Greenvale, Manchester, David Junior Reid was opening his establishment when a lone gunman pounced and opened fire. He was shot several times.
Reid’s death has now left the community in mourning. Member of Parliament for Manchester North West Mikael Phillips was also present in the community to provide support. Phillips says the parish has been seeing an increase in murders of late. This he notes is of grave concern. The member of parliament adds resources are lacking in the parish to curtail crime.
