Cabinet Minister’s Partner Resigns Amid Land Controversy – Lola Marshal-Williams, the partner of, J.C. Hutchinson Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce Agriculture, and Fisheries has resigned over concerns of a land deal between Holland Producers Limited and the Ministry of Agriculture.
Lola Marshal- Williams has resigned from Holland Producers Limited after opposition spokesman on Agriculture Victor Wright called for the Integrity Commission to investigate what he describes as a ‘massive land grab’.
According to Wright, more than one thousand acres of sugar lands were allocated to Williams through a non-transparent deal between Holland Sugar Lands and the ministry of agriculture.
Marshal-Williams is J.C Hutchinson’s live-in-partner, Hutchinson is of course Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Agriculture.
Wright says other parties had expressed interest in the land but it was allocated to Williams, which he says is a clear breach.
