Campbell “No Place for Complacency Amidst Poll Lead”

The People’s National Party, PNP, General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell told CVM while the recent poll results yielded positivity for his party, they will not become complacent. Campbell outlined several of the findings which he says have instilled some confidence in the party while making known areas in which work is needed if they should conquer the JLP in the upcoming elections.

With the local government elections tide swiftly rolling in, the political landscape on Tuesday was fully charged, as a Don Anderson Poll commissioned by the PNP revealed Jamaicans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction, elevating the opposition to a favorable position to lead. A notion strongly rejected by the governing Jamaica Labour Party who described the findings as a political ploy. Dismissing claims that the polls were biased PNP General Secretary Dr Dayton Campbell says when polls find JLP in favourbaility they never respond this way. However, an encouraged Campbell outlined several results the party is pleased with noting there is still no room for complacency. Watch the report:
