Carnival Sunrise Cruise Arrives in Jamaica

The Carnival Sunrise Ship docked at the Ocho Rios Port in St Ann on Monday, August 16, signaling the start of cruise operations in Jamaica after a year and a half of closure due to the pandemic.

Things seemingly got off to a rough start as tourists were only allowed to tour designated areas. This is the first cruise ship with international passengers to call at a Jamaican port since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tourist were re-directed to the port.

Craft members and bus operators expressed their disappointment as tourists who came to the island on the Carnival Sunrise ship did not get to visit the craft market in the vicinity.
