Several men listed as wanted and persons of interest in the Central Kingston division were today urged to visit the central police station at the earliest.
Police from the special operations unit and senior officers from the division held a brief community meeting with the residents. The lawmen insist those listed will have no refuge if they seek to ignore this plea. Talking tough, after days of bloodletting in the Central Kingston area, senior officers in a street-style community meeting listed several men believed to be linked with the ongoing violence.
The violence led to the recent death of a 10-year-old girl who was shot while sleeping.
Sleeping on information that could be useful to stemming the ongoing feud believed to be linked to family rivalry would see the residents sacrificing their freedom over time, such as the usual New Year’s Eve activities. Activities to follow the appeals by the lawmen, could see less favourable outcomes for those bent on shielding criminals or directly linked to the crimes.
