Inconvenienced does not seem to sum up the conditions taxi operators in Christiana have to work under. These operators withdrew their services for students and workers, blocking the roads and creating traffic.
Over 200 taxi operators took to the street in protest on Monday morning. Their turnout caused a gridlock. Commuters coming out of or heading to northern Manchester could not move for up to five hours. The lack of a taxi park in Christiana town led to the operators’ disenchantment. It was reported that none of the political officials visited the scene. More details in this report:
