A series of unfortunate fatal stabbing incidents have rocked the central parish of Clarendon. The police have since launched investigations into the violent crimes. In one incident a 15 year old boy was taken into custody, after stabbing his step-father fatally during an altercation. 45-year old Conroy Morgan of environs in four paths, Clarendon was stabbed and killed by his 15 year old stepson during a physical altercation on Monday.
They both were reportedly armed with knives, and proceeded to inflict stab wounds to each other. The 15 year old boy was wounded to the left hand and Morgan was wounded to the left side of his neck. Both were assisted to the may pen hospital where Morgan died while been treated.
The 15 year old was treated and later taken into police custody. This incident follows another over the weekend in crofts hill in the parish where 13 year old Omarian Haniford was fatally stabbed during a dispute, allegedly by his uncle, who is said to be mentally challenged. Head of the community safety and security branch, DSP Owen Brown says these incidents are unfortunate and could’ve been prevented. The police are also investigating a mob attack on Saturday in the may pen market. A man said to be of unsound mind reportedly stabbed two men during an altercation. Several people then attacked the man of unsound mind with knives and he later succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile a probe is underway to determine the sudden and unexplained death of an infant in Pedro District, crofts hill on Monday. The lifeless body of one year old Steven West was found at his home by his mother and stepfather. The police were summoned and the body of the infant removed from the dwelling.
