Clarendon’s Wanted Men Killed In Military Operation

Six wanted men were killed in Effortville, Clarendon including two of the parish’s most wanted during a joint police-military operation on Sunday morning.

The wanted men are said to be linked to the “Bushman Gang” in the parish.

Three weapons, an M-16, an AK-47, and a shotgun were recovered as well as several rounds of ammunition.

A military team was deployed in buzz rock to conduct an operation at a house. 

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) said there was a shootout upon approaching the house.  Six men were found dead following a search of the premises. The identities of the other four men have not yet been released.

Director of Complaints for the Central Division at Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM), Dave Lewin said

Two soldiers were also injured.
