Clarke Calls For Accountability In Fraud Case

Minister of Finance Dr. Nigel Clarke says the government will not be distracted in its efforts to uncover the persons responsible for the fraud at Stocks and Security Limited.  In a push for transparency and accountability, Minister Clarke says directors, managers and persons responsible will have to provide an account for their stewardship. As he notes the entity was repeatedly audited.

The Minister assures, the auditors will also not escape scrutiny in this matter. He adds that there are questions that must be answered, in relation to why a fraud of this magnitude was not detected. As the Minister frowns at those who seek to politicize the issue, noting this will only impede the investigation. He says the investigators will address the nation with their findings.
