On Tuesday, a tragic incident unfolded in St. Elizabeth, where a man was violently attacked and fatally wounded by an individual suspected to be mentally unstable. The motive behind the attack reportedly stemmed from an unmet demand, leaving numerous Jamaicans deeply alarmed for their personal safety and uncertain about the legal actions available to them in such situations.
Police in the junction says Cunningham was walking along a dirt path when he was attacked by a man, believed to be of unsound mind. Sources say the attack was launched after the man begged Cunningham for some cash but was told his soon-to-be victim did not have it. The man reportedly used a stone to hit Cunningham to the left side of the head at which he fell to the ground. Watch the report:
