As of January 13, 2020, there have been nine thousand three hundred and fifty-six suspected, presumed or confirmed cases of dengue. According to the Ministry of Health & Wellness, the country is experiencing the most severe outbreak of the mosquito-borne disease.
Based on the intensity of the Dengue outbreak, the cabinet approved the allocation of $1 Billion dollars and the establishment of a committee to coordinate activities in the fight against the virus.
