Contract Killings Pushing Up Murder

How much is a life worth? For some, as little as 15 thousand dollars. Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson says contract killings continue to be an issue that the police are tackling to bring the murder rate down. 

For as little as 15 thousand dollars contract killers will take out a man or woman of your choosing; a chilling ad campaign that is sweeping sections of the country as the police fight crime. Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson says contract killings are impacting the country’s murder rate which stands at 6.3 percent. He expects this number to reduce by the end of June. During the JCF media briefing on Tuesday, Commissioner Anderson says targeting these killers will be a major part of the constabulary’s crime-fighting strategy and asserts that the police must win in their fight to bring down gangs and gunmen.
