Corporate Area Communities Complying With Curfew Measures

CVM Live visited several communities within the Corporate Area and Port Royal, only to find empty streets with a few people in their yards.

Residents gazing at the streets which were once buzzing with activities.

Some residents spoke to our news team at their gates.

Many say they have no problems complying. However,  route taxi operators are asking the government to reconsider labeling them as non-essential.

The streets of Port Royal only needed tumble weeds to highlight their emptiness during the Easter lockdown.

Businesses at the airport were also closed and only a few travelers were in sight.

Rey Town residents in Kingston lacked its usual excitement and gatherings during the holiday period.

Residents say though they understand the need for the restrictions, providing food for their households would reduce the stress they currently face.
