Court Dismisses Bogus Emails Sent To FLA

Chief Executive Officer of the Firearm Licensing Authority, Shane Dalling reveals he’s been the victim of cyber harassment since 2018, due to his work to rid the FLA of unethical practices. Dalling says he’s received copious amounts of emails with threatening content and accusations.

However, as was reported earlier, the Supreme Court of California has found those emails to be bogus; created only with the intention of sending malicious messages. The plot thickens as the CEO reports he’s been facing a 4-year-long harassment and brazen attacks to his credibility, which he says is a result of his efforts to rid the organization of corruption inherited by previous management.

The FLA boss on Friday unsheathed several hoax emails from as early as 2018, containing accusations of scamming, threats and a cheque of USD 3000 to revoke a firearm license. .

In fact, CVM Live is in receipt of the 2021 California Supreme Court Order requesting that Google, yahoo and Microsoft reveal the identities behind the email addresses created. This revealed the emails were indeed fake and were created for the sole purpose of sending the messages, as the emails were deleted immediately after the messages were sent. In addition, the Major Organized Crime & Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) later found the cheque to be bogus as the person to whom it was addressed, a former investigator with the FLA is deceased, and the address doesn’t exist.

Dalling says those acts were bold attempts to have him removed from his post. When asked why anyone would target him specifically, Dalling says he’s made it his priority to stomp out the unethical granting of licenses to criminals and others who are unfit.
