Prior to the Prime Minister’s announcement, some citizens had been anticipating a relaxation of the COVID-19 restrictions given the new cases have been on a downward trend.
However, one medical expert told CVM Live that there should be no relaxation of the measures unless a low positivity rate is maintained for about two weeks.
But a major player in the private sector had suggested that there can be some amount of relaxation, adding that the current restrictions have been slowing the spread of the virus.
