The Sandy Gully in St. Andrew serves as a major channel for water in the corporate area. However, the inhabitants of the gully bank in a section of Waterhouse are fearful as the rapid deterioration of the infrastructure could lend itself to their demise.
A Section of the Sandy Gully has been in a deplorable state since last year according to residents who live along its bank. One resident expressed concern for the children who often play in the gully. Another resident who spoke off-camera explains their livelihoods are at stake, due to the condition of the gully. The residents are calling on their political representatives to intervene in the matter. Efforts to get a comment from the Communications Specialist at the National Works Agency, Tuesday proved futile. Watch here for more details:
