Custos of Westmoreland Reverend, Hartley Perrin, like many Jamaicans is welcoming the government’s decision to withdraw the Disaster Risk Management Act (DRMA) measures.

The reverend is also commending the government on their timing, noting many Jamaicans may not have tolerated an extension of the COVID-19 protocols. Perrin suspects there would have been a major uproar among Jamaicans had Prime Minister Andrew Holness not eased protocols such as social distancing, mask-wearing, and national curfews.
