Day 2: No-movement Day in Jamaica, Zero Criminal Activity

Monday, August 23 marks the second of seven no-movement days ordered by Prime Minister Andrew Holness to stem the rising number of COVID-19 cases.

Our news team ventured through the streets of the corporate area on Tuesday afternoon. Very few buses of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) were on their various routes in the corporate area. There was also minimal police presence in some areas, with a few persons walking or driving their vehicles to various destinations.

Head of the St. Andrew South Police Division Superintendent Kirk Ricketts says there has been a normal level of compliance and as it relates to crime Superintendent Ricketts notes there was zero criminal activity.
