Frome Technical High School Adapts to Taxi Protests in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland – As the taxi protests continue into their second day in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, Frome Technical High School has taken proactive steps to ensure its students’ education remains uninterrupted. The school, which was compelled to suspend classes prematurely on Monday due to the protests, dispatched a bus into the town of Savanna-la-Mar to transport its students safely to the school premises.
With road conditions severely impacting various aspects of the local economy, George Wright, Member of Parliament for Westmoreland Central, has issued an appeal to the government for assistance. The ongoing protests have left students stranded in Savanna-la-Mar on both Monday and Tuesday mornings. In response to these challenges, Frome Technical High School has independently organized transportation to mitigate any further disruptions to their students’ learning experiences. Watch the report:
