Dead baby still in womb: The CVM LIVE‘s News Team was updated yesterday, October 8, that a frantic mother at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital is reportedly still carrying a now deceased baby in her womb after doctors pronounced the baby dead at noon yesterday.
The mother, who is 37 year old Lavina Williamson has sickle cell and says she has been in pain for two weeks prior to the news that her baby had died.
Teresa Livermore, Williamson’s sister said that Williamson was admitted for a week in the Annotto Bay Hospital, when her pain worsened. Williamson was on Tuesday transferred to the Victoria Jubilee Hospital.
Livermore said the hospital staff had her sister under a tent in the rain while in pain for hours. She said for the nine hours they were at the hospital, the only medical care her sister received was a urine test. She was also told to return a week later.
However, Williamson’s condition worsened when she returned home to St. Mary. She was later readmitted to the Annotto Bay Hospital before being transferred to the Victoria Jubilee Hospital at 4 o’ clock yesterday morning.
After having an ultra sound at 11 am, Williamson was told by doctors at 12 noon that her baby was dead.
She says she is yet to receive medical help and she is in tremendous pain. She also shared that she doesn’t think her baby is dead because she still feels movements in her womb.
Her sister Livermore was denied from seeing her and said she is very angry at how the staff has treated her.
