The heavy rainfall over the past weeks has led to an increase in the mosquito population across the country. Junior Shadow Minister on Health, Jesse James Clarke says there is the potential for a spike in dengue cases. He notes the importance of a clean environment to prevent a dengue fever outbreak adding garbage encourages mosquito breeding.
