The drive-by shooting on Saturday in Denham Town, West Kingston, which left five people injured, is being linked to an internal gang conflict in the area. The police say four people are now in custody and are to be questioned in the presence of their attorney. When CVM Live visited the community on Monday a tense calm prevailed.

The five people who were injured in the incident has since been treated and released from the hospital. A resident told our news team that they subsequently left the area. 

The police on Sunday issued a list of two wanted men and a total of eight persons of interest in connection to a gang conflict affecting the Denham Town police district. Head of the Kingston western police division Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps says four of the men are now in custody. He says investigation so far has found that the shooting is linked to an internal conflict between the shooters hill gang. SSP Phipps says the police have since increased their presence in the area.
