Development Economist Dr Chris Stokes says it is important for the government to keep a tight budget to reduce the current debt levels in Jamaica. This comes after the historic national trillion-dollar estimates of expenditure were tabled in parliament on Tuesday by Finance and Public Service Minister Dr Nigel Clarke.
Stokes says with the country’s debt levels, it is essential to understand the government’s decision to have a fiscally conservative and responsible budget. Watch the report here:
