Jamaica has laid the groundwork for societal development through partnership with the Rwandan Government. The three day visit of Rwandan President Paul Kagame has ended following the signing of Memoranda of Understanding and open dialogue with members of civil society.
Emerging from a brief bi-lateral discourse with other members of the Jamaican and Rwandan Government, Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamina Johnson Smith and Minster of Finance in Rwanda, Uzziel Ndagijimana inked their commitment to deepen ties between the two countries.
It was here that Prime Minister Andrew Holness advised that the digitization of Jamaican society was high on the short term agenda.
