The people’s concerns brought Minister with Responsibility for Works Everald Warmington to east Portland, but the tour soon turned sour. Justifying his raging outburst, the Minister says caretakers are not recognized by the constitution. Admitting that he usually does not indulge in these area tours, Minister Warmington says the prime minister insisted.
It was then he experienced the poor road conditions the residents are forced to endure, as thick clouds of dust from the damaged roads, cloaked vehicles. Minister Warmington said he asked the national works agency’s team to scope a 50 million dollar emergency project for the road’s fixture, which was the silver lining to what started off as a rocky tour.
