By a landslide victory…
Dorlan Francis is the new Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) caretaker for Western St. Andrew.
He defeated his opponents copping 178 votes in a selection process held at the Edith Dalton James High School in Duhaney Park.
Kevin Taylor, a former People’s National Party councilor who converted to the Jamaica Labour Party earlier this year, received 52 votes while forerunner Trevor Webb got only 4 votes.
Dorlan Francis says he intends to bring prosperity to the great constituency, as for years the People’s National Party (PNP) neglected the people.
He says he is confident of a victory in the next general election.
Francis will now face-off with PNP Member of Parliament, for the constituency, Anthony Hylton in 2021.
