Dr Clarke: Jamaica Infrastructure Procurement’s Leveling Up

Finance Minister, Dr Nigel Clarke has announced plans to secure what could likely be one of the largest infrastructure projects in the country. The Minister notes that the infrastructure boost will see benefits coming in from bidders, and promises to be a game-changer. The projects will include the addition of two lanes to the North Coast Highway, essentially from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios making it a four-lane road.

Dr Clarke reports the government is still at the advisory stage, where more work is to be done. He says it would stand to be the single largest government infrastructure project in the country. He adds this is a move worth celebrating. More details in the report below:
