General Secretary of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Dr. Horace Chang on Sunday told supporters the Jamaican government has come a far way, adding the COVID-19 pandemic was well handled despite the negative impact on the economy.
The Deputy Prime Minister was addressing a JLP Area 4 Conference in north-east St. Elizabeth, Dr. Chang notes other countries post-pandemic are struggling to rebuild while Jamaica’s economy is gradually rebounding. The security minister also highlighted crime and violence, explaining it’s becoming a global issue.
Meantime, he sought to reassure supporters that though the party has flaws, he’s optimistic the countries are on the right path to success. Watch the report:
