The east-west leg of high way 2000 is nearing completion, according to a Manager at the China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC). Our news team visited a section of the highway on Friday.
Health and safety engineering manager at CHEC Valton Simpson spoke with our news team on Friday and provided an update on the newly constructed east-west leg of High Way 2000 that runs through Manchester and Clarendon. Past the roundabout, Simpson points out the reconstruction of the Rio Minho Bridge spanning over a hundred metres.
He notes once it’s recommissioned it will be one of the longest bridges over the longest river in the island; h adds the east-west leg is nearing completion. Watch the report:
