The official resumption of schools across the island on Monday will also see the return of civics to classrooms across the island. A move which teachers and principals across the nation have been calling for, with utmost support.
The Ministry of Education notes they are aware of the various social issues and the need for an intentional and intensive focus on students’ development of civic virtues. As they express hope that the course will introduce national pride among youth.
Noting their intention going forward to also focus on parent-teacher cooperation, as another tool to reduce fighting among students, and foster healthy habits and positive attitudes in their personal and social life.
