Efforts are currently underway to restore the St. James Shoe Market, a local landmark that succumbed to a devastating fire last October. Deputy Mayor for Montego Bay, Richard Vernon, provided an update during a tour of the parish with the Prime Minister on Monday. He announced that plans for the project have been approved, and the municipality is actively seeking funding for the reconstruction. Once completed, the new structure is set to host over 250 vendors, aiming to revitalize the bustling market hub for the community.
