Opposition Leader Mark Golding is welcoming the move by Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley to put a cap on the cost of fuel starting Friday. This amid cries of exorbitant fuel prices and increasing cost of living. The Opposition People’s National Party has long been lobbying the Andrew Holness-led administration to move in this direction. In an address to the people of Barbados Prime Minister Mottley announced a cap on the cost of fuel. A move that is being lauded by Jamaica’s Opposition Leader, Mark Golding, and long championed by his people’s national party members.
Among them economist and politician, Dr Andre Haughton. Jamaica has experienced a consistent rise in fuel prices, compounded by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Watch the report below:
