Two employees at the Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica Hotel in St. Ann suffered injuries following a blast at the facility Wednesday morning. CVM LIVE understands the explosion also resulted in damage to the hotel’s structure where officials have since launched an investigation into the matter.
As fire erupts from the food station area inside one of the 10 restaurants at the Bahia Principe grand Jamaica hotel in St. Ann. The aftermath leaves visible damage to the structure, with a gaping hole in the roof, and broken windows smashed by the force of the explosion.
Director for Internal Operations and Corporate Social Responsibility Fabian Brown, reports two of the hotel’s employees suffered injuries but were treated and later sent home. He praises the hotel’s prior implementation of emergency protocols. Watch the report:
