In this CVM Live follow up of a maternity nightmare at the Port Antonio Hospital, Portland on Saturday, closure seems to be around the corner.
The family of 32-year-old Rosemarie Gayle believes both her and her baby died due to negligence and while, they say nurses have provided several reasons for the tragedy, they are demanding more answers.
State Minister for Health and Wellness, Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn says she has requested a report of the incident. The closure may soon be coming for the family of 32-year-old Rosemarie Gayle who died at the Port Antonio Hospital on Saturday, January 30. Hours after giving birth- her baby also died.
According to one of her sisters, a nurse told her it was a case of stillbirth. But getting to the bottom proved futile even for our news centre. When CVM Live, contacted the hospital on Tuesday, a call transfer to the CEO, went unanswered.
