As investigations continue into the disappearance of funds from Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL), Minister of Finance Dr. Nigel Clarke says the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will be intensifying its involvement in the investigation.
The Minister notes before he made the announcement of the FBI’s inclusion, investigative bodies were already collaborating with the Bureau. Since then, Dr. Clarke says the FBI’s involvement has been solidified into the investigations, and will only get more aggressive.
The Minister notes, the Ministry has already written to an international partner for assistance with forensic auditing, and the government of Jamaica is prepared to foot the bill for their involvement. Watch the report below:
