A female student was on her way to class on the college of agriculture, science and education (case) campus, Thursday morning when she was allegedly abducted and sexually assaulted. Upon noticing her absence a search team of students and staff was immediately launched. The student was reportedly found later that morning in a tunnel. C.A.S.E President, Dr. Derrick Deslandes, says the student is receiving counseling but refuses to leave the campus. At their emergency media briefing Thursday afternoon, it was announced that security measures have already been put in place.
Deslandes revealed that there are several squatters on the east and west campus who use its tunnels as shortcuts. Just like the student.
The perpetrator is now on the run.
