Business operators on Brunswick Avenue, Spanish Town have been significantly impacted after a massive fire destroyed their equipment and goods yesterday, July 10.
A resident said by the time the Jamaica Fire Brigade was contacted the buildings were already engulfed in flames. He said, that the residents took steps to prevent the spread of the fire to neighbouring buildings while they waited.
While it’s still not clear what caused the fire, one thing is certain, millions of dollars worth of equipment and goods went up in flames.
Two barber shops, a grocery shop and a furniture store are among those destroyed.
