On Friday, May 27 the ongoing case between popular firearm dealer, Kent Brown and the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) received approval from the Supreme Court to continue its proceedings. Brown was forced to close his business because of the financially draining position he claims the Firearms Licensing Authority left his operations in; this gunsmith and range operator is now in his full right to go to the judicial review court to get orders to compel the FLA to grant his business license.
Brown in his affidavit, stated that he applied for the licenses last year on May 7, yet despite his attempts at inquiring if the licenses were ready for collection, he says he has not received a response.
Attorney-At-Law Hugh Wildman, who is representing Brown, says he is content with the court’s ruling. Wildman says this motion comes on the heels of another case that is about to be brought against the FLA under similar circumstances.
Meanwhile, the FLA has sought to explain that this ruling only indicates that the matter can now officially be brought before the courts, not that a verdict has been given, or that Brown has won his case. More details in the story below:
