Demanding the attention of the Jamaican government and management team of the Jamaica fire brigade, a suspended firefighter this morning climbed to the roof of the Transport Centre in Half Way Tree. The man who alleges he along with six other workers were unjustly suspended last year says he’s protesting the suffering of firefighters.
He sat in the boiling sun, answering phone calls and going live on social media. He tarried for over four hours after gaining access to the roof via the outskirt of the building. In an exclusive phone call with CVM LIVE, while nesting on the scorching rail just minutes after ten the sergeant advised he would not descend until the authorities heeded his cry for a safer Jamaica and guaranteed his family’s safety.
