Fisherfolk Call for Greater Police Intervention for Illegal Fishing

Fisherfolks in Rocky Point Clarendon are calling on the marine police to clamp down on illegal fishing in the heavily fished waters. They say the continued act is not only threatening their livelihoods but also the fish nursery.

Fisherfolk says they are being haunted by the actions of other fisherfolk who continue to engage in illegal fishing. They say despite the ban on spiny lobsters, some fisherfolk continue to harvest the crustaceans.
