According to them, the area is a danger zone whenever it rains, mainly due to blocked drains. They also argue that they have been neglected by their political representatives over the years. They explained that when the area floods, taken they sometimes lose their boats or they are destroyed.
One fisherman while lamenting the damage to fishing vessels and accessories explained that the situation was all too familiar to the people of the area. He further explained that blocked drains are mainly responsible for the flooding woes of fisherfolk and residents whenever it rains.
According to this fisherman, the development of the Longwood District community has been placed on the back burner for years.
