In a tearful mass, friends and family gathered to commemorate the life of Melissa Silvera, the deceased wife of former Western St Mary MP, Jolyan Silvera. Fondly remembered as an attentive mother and dutiful friend, Melissa reportedly died from gunshot wounds last year, dispelling initial accounts of a peaceful passing. The funeral, held at St. Andrew Parish Church, was a somber affair, with the reverend who baptized Melissa years ago now performing her final rites. Last year, police launched a murder investigation into her death, yet no arrests or charges have been made to date.
