A fourteen- year-old boy has been arrested and charged following an incident along Crawford Street, Mount Salem, St. James on Tuesday, January 02. The boy has been charged with Attempted Rape, Burglary and Wounding with Intent. Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that about 11:40 p.m., the boy gained entry into the victim’s home where he attempted to rape her. A struggle ensued and he used a knife to inflict several stab wounds to her upper body and head. After she made an alarm, he ran from the home. On Wednesday, January 03, a citizen arrested the boy and escorted him to the police station. He was charged on Thursday, January 4, after a question-and-answer session. His court date is being finalised.
