The family of a Westmoreland man who was admitted to hospital nearly a year ago for severe back pains, is calling for help to care for their ailing relative.
The man’s cousins who have been tending to him since his release from hospital are claiming negligence on the part of the hospital after he developed massive bed sores.
The man, they say was sent home undiagnosed and expected to die. Therefore, the frustrated relatives decided to spotlight the issue.
Meanwhile, when our news centre contacted the health ministry for an update on the matter we were advised the matter is being investigated and the patient’s file is being reviewed.
No formal response has been given otherwise.
