Residents of Riverton City in St. Andrew have been experiencing increased levels of crime and violence due to an ongoing gang conflict. The feud has been strangling the community for years. Despite police attempting to arrest the problem, residents believe the lawmen have been misguided.
The accused, Syron ‘Simon’ Clarke, has been sighted in a recent viral video insinuating that the police were wrongfully accusing him of contributing to the violence in the area. He has since gained the support of the residents, who say he is innocent of what he is being accused of. The police remain resolved that the onus is on the residents to play their part in improving the investigations by providing any details they might have. Clarke is now in police custody, following the St. Andrew South police naming him as a person of interest in three murders committed this month. More details in the report below:
