Friend of embattled Westmoreland Central MP, George Wright and former Senator, Dennis Meadows says it is fair that many people are calling for Wright’s resignation.
However, he says a by-election in the middle of a pandemic may not be feasible.
Meadows who is also a Co-Convener of the Lobby Group, Citizens Action for Principle and Integrity (CAPI) says Wright’s predicament has also shone light on the aged constitution, calling for it to be updated.
He says though Wright has neither accepted nor denied he was the man in the video, he believes he should openly address these allegations.
Meadows says though the actions within the video are “repugnant and egregious”, they are forgivable.
