GOJ May Announce New SOE’s After Current Ones Expire

The wave of crime sweeping across central parishes to include Manchester has not gone unnoticed by the country’s Defense Minister. Prime Minister Andrew Holness told the people he has seen the news of robberies and related deaths in recent times while recalling two years prior when criminals wreaked similar havoc in the space. Havoc that he says the authorities have been seeing increasing.

The Prime Minister went further noting he will also be taking steps to protect the nation, especially over the Christmas period. He admits that while the States of Emergency (SOE) cause some controversy they continue to hope for cooperation in implementing them as needed. To this end, he maintains consideration will be given to imposing new SOEs once the current ones expire.
