A recent meeting between Leader of the Opposition, Mark Golding, and a number of security guards from the island’s leading security firms, led to discussions about their current plight.
The security guards should have transitioned from contract workers to full-time employees but there are still contractual concerns. Opposition leader, Golding says the government through these companies employs over 60 per cent of the security guards in the country. He is calling on the government to act as an honest broker between the security companies and the guards. Watch the report:
