Speaking at his nomination on Tuesday, July 5, the People’s National Party (PNP) President Mark Golding affirmed his party’s readiness to form the next government and again chastised the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) for what he calls its inadequate response to serious issues plaguing Jamaicans.
Golding says the people want the PNP to put itself forward as a government in waiting again accusing the Andrew Holness-led administration of not having citizens’ best interests at heart.
As it relates to a crime plan, Golding says the opposition wants a balanced approach, stressing that his party would certainly equip the police with the appropriate tools if it were in office. The party leader says he expects a solid performance in the upcoming local government elections, arguing that the government keeps dragging it out. Watch the full report:
