Golding Still Confident in PNP’s Future Election Sweep

Despite recent controversy surrounding the People’s National Party (PNP) President Mark Golding, he remains confident that the party is still finding favor with Jamaicans. Golding, however, acknowledges there is still work to be done, to promote the party’s ability to address citizens’ concerns. More criticisms are being pointed at the leader of the Opposition Mark Golding, following his abrupt exit during Tuesday’s parliamentary sitting.

In defending his action, Golding says he felt strongly that what Minister of Finance Dr. Nigel Clarke said in his prepared text was offensive and unparliamentary. Despite opposing views on the Matter, Golding says the party is still gaining support from the growing number of Jamaicans who are displeased with the government’s handling of the country.

And to help his chances even more, Golding says he knows what needs to be done, as he remains confident in his party’s victory when elections are called. Meanwhile, Golding refuses to pre-empt Tuesday’s upcoming parliamentary sitting. Though he explains the party has written to the House Speaker regarding her handling in office. Watch the report:
